Music being a major communication tool for the youth of Niger, the Bolloré Group initiated a partnership with local companies like Airtel Niger, Total Niger, and Nestlé (through its Nescafé Brand), in an attempt to promote Nigerien music groups. The musical contest is called MOURYA Niger, or Voice of Niger in Hausa language.
Thus, from May 2nd to May 22nd, 2015, the Bluezone will stir its Niamey audience to the beat of Nigerien music. The well-equipped 220 seat performance hall built at this location makes the Bluezone an ideal venue for the event.
This major music showdown will allow Niamey’s residents to appreciate music from all over the country and discover new talents. The final of the musical competition will be broadcasted live on national television.
For its first edition, MOURYA NIGER plans to add an innovative touch to this major competition by recording the making-of, which will include, among other things, backstage preparations by the various music groups participating in the event. The shootings of the making-of will be entirely held at the Bluezone in Niamey.
