Didier Awadi, the international rap star from Senegal, was a Carte Blanche guest at CCFN, the Franco-Nigerien Cultural Centre in Niamey, during an event organised with the Niamey Bluezone.
Touring the Bluezone facilities on October 27, Awadi was so impressed by what he saw that he returned three days later to talk to a journalist.
A founder member of PBS (Positive Black Soul) in 1989, and winner of Radio France Internationale’s World Music award in 2003, Awadi is an undisputed standard bearer for African rap. A committed artiste, he said that he was ‘‘really impressed” by the Niamey Bluezone. He paid a warm tribute to Bolloré Group at his concert at CCFN on Saturday 31/10/2015.
His night visit and recorded interview at the Niamey Bluezone were made possible by the continuous energy supply from Bolloré Group’s LMP (Lithium Metal Polymer) batteries connected to photovoltaic panels
