Just like Niger’s first Bluezone in Dosso, the Niamey Bluezone offers a range of services designed to promote the wellbeing of the population. The new Niamey Bluezone being located in the capital city, the range of available services will be even greater.
After the scheduled opening ceremony on April 7, the Bluezone will offer a covered 450 m² 220-seater entertainment venue with a giant screen for shows, concerts and live sport broadcast in partnership with the Canal + and Universal Music groups, bringing a host of new African talent to the attention of local audiences.
The Bluezone will also host an incubator for start-up companies in Niger, two Internet rooms with 30 computers, three drinking water fountains, a health centre with several beds and a medical team, a games area dedicated to wrestling, a small-size football pitch, multi-purpose platform, music room and health and fitness course.
The facility will have a fully autonomous solar energy source using LMP (Lithium Metal Polymer) battery storage, a technology developed by Blue Solution, a Bolloré Group subsidiary. Users of the Niamey Bluezone will thus benefit from an uninterrupted power supply, Internet connection and healthy drinking water.
