Blueline Niger: Railway Testing Begins

<< Back

The two CC 33,000 locomotives delivered to Blueline Niger were put into operation for testing in late July. They are since being used to test and fine tune the railway.

The locomotives travelled 34 km of track, between Niamey and Dosso, on the first testing day.

These tests were also an opportunity to provide theoretical and practical training to a dozen Nigerien employees, and introduce them to railroad jobs, as laid out in the “skills transfer” program set up in Niger by the Bolloré Group.
