The Association of Nigerien Mayors (AMN), on the margins of the National Seminar on Good Practices in Nigerien Municipalities, whose theme, this year is Energy and Clean Water, visited the Bluezone in Dosso on February 6th, 2015
The 715 Nigerien mayors present at the event were able to evaluate and appraise the solutions offered by the Bluezone in-situ.
“What we see here amazes us: this site not only includes a health center, an internet café, and a sports area, but also several water fountains; all this is made possible by a battery developed by the Bolloré Group”, exclaimed Abdoul Rahoufou Dodo, Mayor of the commune of Tahoua, President of the Association of Nigerien Mayors.
Highly satisfied with their overall visit, Nigerien mayors expressed their wish to see an expansion of the Bluezone initiative on a national scale.

The photovoltaic panels and LMP batteries (Lithium-Metal-Polymer) system installed at the Bluezone in Dosso helps store solar energy and produce clean electricity continuously, day and night. The Bluezone also has its own drinking water treatment unit. This makes the site entirely autonomous in energy and clean water.
