The Minister of Education visits the Niamey Bluezone

For the last four months, IPTIC, an organisation whose mission is to make IT and new technologies available to all, has been using the Niamey Bluezone to provide IT training for 400 primary school teachers.


The ultimate goal is to train 1,000 teachers over a 12-month period. On Saturday November 14, the Minister for Education, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages, Mrs Ali Mariama Elhadj Ibrahim, paid a personal visit to the facility to award diplomas to the first wave of teachers trained in the Bluezone as well as prizes to the three best learners.

After the ceremony, the Minister toured the Bluezone facility, praising the opportunities offered by Bolloré group for the people of Niamey, especially the young, to develop and fulfil their individual potential.
