One of the objectives of the Bluezones in Niger, is to foster the creationof jobs and new enterprises. For that purpose, a meeting between the Board of Education of the Abdou Moumouni University of Niamey and representatives of the Bluezone was held, in an attempt to identify potential partnerships within the context of a university degrees professionalization program.
The Abdou Moumouni University established a support cell aimed at developing the university degrees professionalization program. Our goal is to help students to experience the professional and business worlds before they graduate, and raise their awareness of the aforementioned concepts” said M. Abarchi Habibou Full Professor and Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs at the University.
For his part, Joël Broux, Executive Director of Bolloré Africa Logistics in Niger, added “Over the past 2 years, the Bolloré Group has contributed to the occupational insertion of young graduates by offering internships to a number of students from universities and other higher learning institutions in Niger. This year, we plan to also introduce young graduates to entrepreneurship through the CIPMEN business incubator of the Bluezone. This promotional tool for start-ups and job creation, will allow project bearers to access funding and advising to achieve their goals.”
A second work session between the Board of Education of the University and representatives of the Bolloré Group, which will focus on young graduates and job creation in Niger, is to be held.
